The parties charged and their attorneys are given a written notice of the time and
place to appear. The criminal calendar may list arraignments, bail settings, cases
continued (put off) awaiting a plea of guilt or innocence, changes of pleas, setting
of hearing or trial dates, motions brought by attorneys, pronouncing sentences,
hearing reports of probation officers, appointment of public defenders or other
attorneys, and other business concerning criminal cases.
