and/or parties whose cases are coming to the top of the list receive notice of the
"calling" of the civil calendar on a particular day for setting a trial date. Unfortunately,
some courts are so clogged with pending lawsuits that one case may be called on
several civil calendars, possibly months apart, before being finally sent to trial.
